Informational Meetings for Potential Providers

At the informational meetings the presenter will walk you through the registration packet and will have a question and answer period.  It is recommended that you pick up the packet for the day care that appeals to you:  family, group, or center before the day of the meeting. The meetings are held every fourth Tuesday 6-7 pm and every fourth Thursday of each month from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Call 443-4608 to register.

Training and Technical Assistance (T&TA)

Training and Technical Assistance (T&TA) is required of child care providers who are not in compliance according to the state Quality Assurance Division (QAD).  T&TA offers individualized training and support through a variety of ways (i.e. in-home training visits, approved training classes/workshops, video study, etc.) The provider and a child care trainer meet to set goals and create a Corrective Action Plan based on QAD’s recommendations and/or the child care trainer’s assessment of the daycare. Successful completion of T&TA is based upon the outcome of the child care providers target training goals.

Starting Out Successfully (S.O.S.)

With busy schedules and lifestyle changes, Starting Out Successfully  (S.O.S.) training is a great way to complete training requirements.  The training is free and we will train in your home. It consists of six lessons, and we provide technical assistance in all areas of the child care profession.

It is designed for providers with little or no experience but is effective for any provider who would like more information on quality care.

S.O.S. will help you in:  creating your child care routine, designing policies and contracts, your knowledge  of child development, nutrition information, health & safety issues, guidance and discipline, business management, curriculum and environment design.

For more information, please  contact Brandi at 443-4608 (CCP office)
