ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR CHILD CARE SCHOLARSHIPS?

As a working parent, you might qualify for child care scholarships if your gross monthly income is at or below 150% of poverty, and you also meet the following requirements:

*As a single parent household you work at least 60 hours per month and do not receive cash assistance, TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) through your local county Office of Public Assistance (OPA).  Or work at least 40 hours per month while attending school full time and have not already completed a bachelors degree or received certification for completing post secondary education within the past 5 years.

*As a dual parent household you and/or the other parent works at least 120 hours per month and do not receive cash assistance, TANF, from your local county Office of Public Assistance (OPA) and child care needs exist for mutual work hours.

*As a teen parent you are attending middle or high school or an alternative program to complete your GED.

*You are attending post secondary education, do not have a bachelors degree or have not completed a recognized post secondary course in the past 5 years and meet the minimum work hours for your family.

*You are using a child care provider who is registered or licensed by the State of Montana or using a legally operating unregistered provider who has been pre-approved by the State of Montana specifically for your family.  Child Care Partnerships can help you locate child care that meets the state's requirements and your family's needs.  We can also assist interested persons in becoming approved for child care.

Please call Child Care Partnerships at 443-4608 or 1-888-244-5368 to discuss you family's eligibility for child care scholarships and/or your child care needs.  If you do not reside in Broadwater, Jefferson or Lewis and Clark County, we will refer you to the child care resource and referral agency which can assist you.  (You should contact the agency in the county you live in, regardless of which county you work in.)
